If you let Black Friday and Cyber Monday slip by without purchasing a tablet for your kids or grandchildren, don't worry, there are still some incredible deals out there. There are affordable options for just about every budget.
There's more good news. You may have heard that some stores' sites, like Walmart.com, and online retailers like Amazon are stretching their Cyber Monday sales for a week or more, calling it Cyber Week. What that means for you is great deals, even though Hanukkah is just days away, and Christmas is only three weeks away.
You'll find that affordable tablets, no matter your budget, are often high-quality devices. Some of them have large screens, high-resolution displays, front- and rear-facing cameras for easy video chats, fast computer processors and plenty of storage.
This year, there are several new tablets on store shelves. Apple, for instance, just introduced its biggest-screen tablet ever, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, starting at $799 for its 32GB version (price doesn't include its keyboard). It runs on Apple's iOS 9 operating system.
Microsoft recently launched its 12.3-inch Surface Pro 4, starting at $899. Its suggested retail price does not include its keyboard, but it does include a Surface Pen. The Surface runs on the Windows 10 Pro operating system.
With all of these tablets on the market, how do you find out all the important specs and which tablet is right for you or the folks on your shopping list? Read on to find out more and the place to go for all the information - and to find out about my favorite tablet.
